STUDENT COURSE REGISTRATION GUIDELINES

All new and current students are required to complete their course registration carefully and in consultation with their academic advisors by following the steps below.

1. Meet with Your Academic/Course Advisor

Before beginning the course registration process, meet with your academic advisor to receive information about the courses you need to take, courses appropriate for your program, and your academic progress.

2. Select Your Courses with Your Academic Advisor

Course selection must be completed in consultation with your academic advisor. Please do not finalize your course selection without your advisor’s guidance.

3. Add Your Selected Courses to the Student Portal

Once your courses have been determined, they must be added to the Student Portal.

Courses may be added either by the student or the academic advisor. Please make sure that all selected courses have been entered correctly.

4. Obtain Your Academic Advisor’s Approval

After your courses have been added to the Student Portal, your registration must be reviewed and approved by your academic advisor. Please make sure that your registration has been approved.

5. Check Your Course Days and Times

Course days, times, and classroom information are announced through the FACULTY COURSE TIMETABLE. The latest timetable is available on the Faculty notice board and the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences website: iktisat.neu.edu.tr

Students are responsible for regularly checking the timetable for updates or changes and attending their courses at the scheduled times.

6. Enrol in ALL Your Courses on DEBİM

In addition to registering for courses through the Student Portal, students must also enrol in ALL their courses through DEBİM.

DEBİM – Online Learning Platform:  debim.neu.edu.tr

Through DEBİM, students can access course materials, follow announcements from their instructors, keep track of assignments and activities, access important course information, and communicate with their instructors.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

·      Activate your University student email account. Your Near East University student email account must be activated and should be used for all official University correspondence. Your student email account is also required to log in to DEBİM.

·      Check the Faculty website regularly. Students should regularly visit iktisat.neu.edu.tr to follow Faculty and University announcements, course timetable updates, and other important information.

·      Course registration is not complete simply by adding courses to the Student Portal. Students must obtain their academic advisor’s approval and also enrol in ALL their courses through DEBİM.
