Turgut Türsoy is an Professor of Banking and Finance and Head at the Department of Banking and Finance, Near East University, Nicosia, North Cyprus. He has a BSc from the Istanbul University, Turkey (1998), an MBA from Cyprus International University, North Cyprus (2001), and PhD in Banking from the Institute of Banking and Insurance, Marmara University, Turkey (2005).
Currently, he has been teaching at Near East University over the last twelve years, and also serving as Vice Chair Person at the Department of Banking and Finance. He is married for ten years and has one daughter and one son.
His research focused on banking and finance area, where he has published over 20 articles in different journals, e.g. Resources Policy, Journal of Cleaner Production, Economic Research-Ekonomska Istraživanja, International Journal of Financial Studies, Romanian Statistical Review- Revista română de statistică: organ al Comisiei Naționale pentru Statistică, Asia-Pacific Journal of Accounting and Economics and others. He also reviewed articles as a referee for several international journals and supervised PhD and Master thesis.
