Nil Günsel Reşatoğlu was born in Nicosia on the island of Cyprus in 1976 and she received her primay education in Cyprus. In 1993, she graduated from Bayraktar Türk Maarif College.
After graduating from the Business Administration Department from the Near East University, in the years 1993-1996, she continued her education in England and obtained her Masters Degree in Finance from the Leicester University in England, in 1999. Then, she returned to Cyprus and worked in the Near East Bank as a branch manager for two years. From 2003-2005 she worked as a part-time lecturer in the Department of Management Center in Leicester University. She obtained her PhD in Finance in 2005 from the Leicester University.
She has been working as a lecturer in Banking and Finance Department, in Near East University since 2006 and she was appointed Chair of the Department of Banking and Finance and she became an Assistant Professor, in 2011. Her research interests include financial and banking crisis, stock markets and energy consumptions.
Assist. Prof. Dr. Nil Günsel Reşatoğlu is currently working as a part time lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in the Near East University, married and has two childen.
