Seminar on Human Rights & Diplomacy

The Departments of Political Science and International Relations will host an event on “Human Rights & Diplomacy” – which will be given by Jacob Glenn (who is the Human Rights Officer at the US Embassy in Nicosia).

Jacob Glenn is the Human Rights Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Nicosia.  In this capacity, he follows human rights issues in Cyprus, including trafficking in persons, religious freedom, gender equality, LGBTI rights, refugees and migrants, and free speech.  He previously served at the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi, India and has also lived in Mexico City.  Prior to joining the U.S. Department of State, he studied history at Brigham Young University and received his Master of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University. Jacob speaks Spanish and Hindi.
