The Departments of International Relations and Political Science & Public Administration under the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences had the honor of hosting Mr. Yurdakul Cafer for a roundtable discussion. Mr. Cafer has extensive experience in journalism, focusing on media and conflict resolution with a specialization in the Cyprus issue. He holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in International Relations and currently serves as a senior news editor at Bayrak Radio and Television Corporation (BRT). This roundtable discussion was organized specifically for undergraduate and MA students to gain insight and guidance on their career development.
The event was notably unique due to its interactivity and positive energy, as students engaged with Mr. Cafer’s captivating anecdotes, which deepened their understanding of media communications and journalism through the question-and-answer session at the end. As we aim to foster an experiential learning environment, this event created an indelible moment for our departments, reinforcing our commitment to delivering such events for our career enrichment programs in the future by inviting experts to inspire students as they explore diverse career paths that lead to professional growth.
