Mumtaz Ali was born in Moro, Sindh, Pakistan, in 1987. He received his BA from Institute of English and Literature and MBA from Quaid-e-Azam School of Business Administration, Quaid-e-Azam university, Islamabad, Pakistan, in year 2008 and 2011, respectively. He earned M. Phil from Institute of Business Administration, University of Sindh, Jamshoro, Pakistan, in the year 2019. He received his Ph.D. in green finance from the Banking and Finance Department, Near East University, Nicosia, North Cyprus, in 2024. He has started teaching at Near East University in 2022 as a part time instructor and became full time member of staff at the Department of Banking and Finance, in the year 2023. He became a doctor in the year 2024 at the Department of Banking and Finance, Near East University. His research interests include green finance, green economy, climate finance, green energy, sustainable environment, and economic development. He has published many research papers and has reviewed many articles for international journals.
