Ali Malek is an academic and professional with a wealth of experience in the fields of Business Administration and Industrial Engineering. Born on July 11, 1954, in Karaağaç, Paphos, Cyprus, he is a citizen of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

Ali Malek holds an MBA in Business Administration from Near East University, Lefkoşa, TRNC, earned in 1998, complementing his B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey. His commitment to continuous learning is evident through a Postgraduate Certificate in Industrial Projects Planning and Appraisals from Bradford University, UK, achieved in 1986.

Currently serving as a Lecturer at Near East University's Faculty of Economics and Business Administration since 1997, Ali Malek brings academic expertise to his role. His influence extends beyond the classroom, as evidenced by his directorship at Near East Bank since 2007. Ali Malek’s professional journey includes key roles in government service, notably as a Counsellor at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, TRNC, from 1995 to 2000. His contributions to economic planning and project appraisal are highlighted by his leadership roles at the State Planning Organization.  He has worked as Head of the Economic Planning Department (1996-1997) and Head of the Project Planning and Appraisal Division (1994-1995). A fluent English speaker, Ali Malek has represented TRNC at numerous international seminars and conferences, enhancing the global perspective of his contributions. He is married and a parent of two sons and a daughter.
