ALA FATHI ASSI was born in Palestine, in 1983. She received her BA degree in the Banking and Finance from Birzeit University and MBA degrees in Human Resource from the Al-Quds University, Palestine, in the years 2005 and 2014, respectively. She received her Ph.D. degree in Banking and Finance from the Near East University, Nicosia, North Cyprus, in 2020. She started teaching at Near East University in 2021 as a part-time instructor and became a full-time member of staff at the Department of banking and accounting in 2021.
In 2022, she became an assistant professor at the Department of Banking and Accounting. In 2023, she was appointed Chair of the Department of Banking. Her research interests include Finance, Banking, and Green Investment. She has many internationally published articles as well as proceeding articles and has reviewed for various international journals. She is married and has one children.
