Assoc Prof Dr Ahmet Ertugan was born in Nicosia, Cyprus, in 1959. He received his university education in London, UK. He had his first degree in Industrial Management in 1980 and later a postgraduate diploma in Management Studies from East London University in 1982. He also gained an MBA from East London University in 1990. In addition, he has a PhD degree from Near East University, North Cyprus. His non-academic work experience comprises social services work and community housing. He has been a full-time marketing lecturer at Near East University since 1995. Currently, he is the head of the marketing department. His research interests have been on water marketing and marketing orientation and, recently, statistical reasoning in marketing and social media marketing. He has internationally published articles, including articles in books.
